What does the number 1.2 billion people mean? It's one out of five in the world! To me it's an over stated number.

Handhelds includes mobitels/cells. It might be overstated for 2002, but for 2004...I don't know. I can tell you that virtually everyone I know in Europe - and that includes a large number of people in formerly communist (ie bankrupt) countries - has one. We've all heard the stories from Japan. I think that number is doable.

Yes, I fully understand this. The prior poster had mentioned a "billion-unit market" and I was agreeing with him. Not $ in sales, but units sold. Amazing isn't it.

Good day for PALM. I wish it would wait a few more days for me to establish a larger position before it heads higher.
