Hi Mike,

I'm not sure I know what to make of it either...!

Some technical system at IBD must pump out these lists for their readers to chew on...! Some type of screening.

There are so many newsletters and publications producing these lists of the top 100-200 stocks to own. Then you have Hulberts Finacial Digest and Timers Digest pronouncing who's list ranks at the top of the heap. Most never beat the Wilshire 5000 much less the S&P 500.

I have very little faith in any of them. Even if you cross referance for the most popular stocks and buy them you don't do much better. One of the most popular is AT&T...and look where they are...!

Some companies fall into both the Most and Least Popular Stocks...!
Example: Disney - Duke Energy - Enron - Lucent, all of these wind-up in both...?

Takes a lot of work to be able to consistently win at this game and even the pros aren't right a lot of the time. But I quess if you can sign-up 10,000 subscribers at $200.00 you're making a nice living.
