in 92, the Republicans still controlled the White House You are right that I was thinking of the period 2 years after Clinton took office, I didn't do my math on the dates. Surely you don't contend that Senior-George had much to do with balancing the budget? He practicly had to be tied up and forced to sign his historic tax increase and did nothing to cut spending. I got my dates wrong because it is absurd to imagine that as the moment our fiscal house was rebuilt. TP
