Stock Profit:

Totally agree with and understand your comments. To put it into context, my father joined the Canadian infantry when I was a few weeks old. He was twenty years old when he left for the European theater in September, 1939. For the next 51/2 years, he was in Europe and later England (not one furlow back home). I was already in school when he returned. Thankfully, he came home in one piece, unlike the father of one of my close friends, who came back minus an arm and minus a leg.

That he did return is something for which I was forever grateful, as many of his comrades did not.

The last lines in the movie "Saving Private Ryan" personified my father's situation when he got home.

Best, Earlie
