I hear you on the banks/cc companies mailing every address name 16 offers a day for a new credit card and then cheekily whining to Congress that the bankruptcy laws are too generous to debtors (as opposed to their lending "policies"). Several years back, then 3 month old got a credit card offer (they purchase the FF lists from the airlines). Our pet also receives credit card offers (although we cannot figure out how to get him a SS number).

Still, FL's homestead exemption creates a haven for those who may not be willing to be entirely forthcoming with information investors in companies in other states would likely be furnished.
