It must be weird to slice into a 30 lb slab of tofu. Also, what on earth was the frozen heirloom that was handed down through generations?

Speaking of turkeys, I have a Great Mystery for you.

One of my deliveries is to a rural mailbox about twenty feet from the Santa Fe mainline. (It gets pretty exciting when a fast freight blasts by when I'm by that box. Wa-hoo, hope it doesn't jump the rails...)

So last Friday I was walking up to that box, and what did I see? A frozen turkey, of the Butterball breed, lying between the tracks. Where did it come from? Why is it there? I dunno.... but it's still there, 3 days later, and it's not frozen anymore. It has to be very, very ripe. The plastic wrapper is really puffed out. Looks like it is gonna blow any time now. That ought to lure the vultures away from the stinking lake of dead shad over to the railroad tracks for a nice yummy meal.
