Ralph, your assumption that bankruptcy is acceptable to the "elephants" is very weak. Or said differently, the managements of these companies are only out to steal the company from shareholders--in some way benefits them--is cock-eyed.

First and foremost, there are big customers, i.e. govt's and autos, waiting to sign on after they believe Globalstar's future is assured. It would be bad business and terribly disruptive to the partners and their businesses to let that happen, so I put odds of that happening at near zero.

As Bernard said, it's likely only one more round of financing will be needed, to carry them thru 2001, so further dilution will likely be minimal, if at all.

Lastly, Bernard is in his seventies, has money, and hasn't a lot to prove. He doesn't need to "steal" the company, as you imply.
