"And then the SOX will sink and AMD along with it ..."

Comment: Maybe so, maybe not...Got a feeling more than a few analysts are pushing models of AMD's probable "microprocessor mix ratios" around concluding that AMD's ASP could get significantly higher than $1.00 before the onset of Q4...3.6 million and 7.2 million Athy derivatives in Q3 and Q4 respectively combined with 3.4 million and 1.8 million low ASP K6's in Q3 and Q4 respectively transforms ASP to an amount much greater than $1.00...Surely such a fundamental and significant shift in fortune won't go unnoticed by many, if any, analysts, even those who have grown fat at the INTC trough...

Dave, <<The company will probably let it be known officially the P-IV is slipping by a few months to late this year or early next.>>

<And then the SOX will sink and AMD along with it ...>

I forgive you for being cynical, but beg to disagree. News of P-IV slipping to the end of Q4, whether or not Intel calls it a "delay" would send AMD back to its all time high in short order.

Despite the Jonathan Joseph report, I simply do not believe Intel will announce a delay on Willy. They did announce "100's of thousands of units" in Q4, but they could still do that starting shipments in December. So either the JJ report is incorrect, or Intel will stealth launch in October, with no chips until December.
