To: Drbob512 who wrote (598 ) 8/21/2000 2:47:04 PM From: FLACK Respond to of 100058 Drbob, we’ve arrived at a new site, a chance for us to explore, examine, and share the opportunities the market has to offer without the interference of slammers, spammers and porn marketers. And we owe this chance to you and SI... what a great combination. The arrangement you were able to make for us to join you here sans the annual fee is immensely appreciated. It was a very sweet surprise and I wish to again thank you and Silicon Investor.com. Also a SPECIAL thanks to Scott at SI for holding my hand while I drifted through the cosmos. I was thinking about all you personally have done for the many board members, which naturally includes those who just lurk and learn, and I was reminded of this quote from Winston Churchill which I think nicely sums up your efforts: "You make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give." Just a couple of quick things now - In it’s wanning hours, I visited the RB Drbob board and found a gem in the midst of the decay. It was a post to me from IvI with a link to an article entitled A Round Trip for CMGI. IMO, it’s a classic, a must read for all of us because it provides a look into not only the recent CMGI disaster, but also the reason for the fall that many tech stocks have experienced - and could experience again. Thank you, IvI. You’re one of THE BEST! More notes: * CONGRATULATIONS wbone on your FIRST EVER short! Welcome to the Dark Side. * CONGRATULATIONS newportbeach on your NAS Close guess! Closing out your tenure on RB with a winning guess on the NAS once again demonstrated your skill, cunning and TIMING. * 3Putt, yes I’m interested in how you changed the MACD indicator on W.O.W. My gut felling is that your time periods may be a little fast but I’d like to do some back testing on a side-by-side comparison with my present time frames. TIA. As for SI - I LIKE it! White background, black Serif type, clean format (which I still have to find my way around), all the usual suspects, and some new posters whom I suspect will add even more insights and help to expand our knowledge and broaden our opportunities.
