It's my understanding they are incompatible with the Russian equipment. That's why the Norwegians and British were finally asked for help.

Guess now is a torpedo went off inside, the forward 1/3 pretty much mangled. You'd have a better idea of what the blast pressure and instant flooding at 350 feet would be.
