You would be better off in the Reform party. They had just your kind of ideas. "Rules? We don't need no stinking rules! Lets just open up the hood on this convention and let the people decide!".
I bet they learned the difference between their libertarian ideals and anarchy.
The U.S. was a second class power when it had a isolationist and small federal government. A major power requires a major organization to run it. You may be nastaulgic for when we were an up-and-coming power, but the U.S. is in the big leagues now and the transition back to the minors will not be as pleasant.

As one woman shot back at a reporter in an NBC focus group about Gore -- I don't think the Republican tax cut is a bad idea. Even if I only get a dime a week back. It's my money and I want it.
