After The Driehaus Small Cap Recovery Growth Fund purchased GSI Lumonics Inc. (GSLI) stock in early summer at $20 a share, it quickly
shot up to $40. But within weeks of his purchase, the company reported disappointing
second-quarter earnings, and its stock fell to the low $20s. Rich sold it off at a marginal profit.

Now, he's considering repurchasing the stock as the company has begun "to move into an
interesting fiber optics area," he said.
