BTW - a great product idea is to have the GPS integrated into the G* phone and market it as a rugged all in one rescue/saftey device. The GPS does not interfere with the G* phone operations and coudl be added for a few more dollars.

A patent has been applied for some years ago by G*. I don't have the link handy but check out the US Patent office website.

Along with this, make a rugged plastic waterproof case that floats and you have one item that every boater, plane pilot, outback jeepster would carry all the time. Make it light enough and every backpacker that needs to maintain some form of contact, such as scout masters and pack horse trail leaders and you have another set of customers.
