Hi GZ! I basically agree with the thrust of your reasoning and where your sympathies lie here. What concerns me is when a serial killer is acutely schizophrenic and is diagnosed as Completely Insane and Far Gone with no hope of ever coming back into the human realm. What do you suppose should be done with a person like that? What kind of restitution can the families of the victims realistically receive?

We saw the movie, "The Cell" on Sunday, which has raised some of these questions in my mind. If you haven't seen this movie, see it. You'll find it very illuminating and disturbing simultaneously, especially the pyschological aspects.

GZ, I hope I don't misunderstand you, but the point I criticize is that you favor an eye-for-eye policy. IMHO it leads to nothing. Though it may be effective, you don't get a world you would want to have. So I labeled this policy as "silly". You simplify, generalize and ridicule on any point that is made contrary to your - extreme - position. Others have "no idea about the real life". This is obviously arrogant. I'm not touched, I just pointed that out. I don't want to get personal, I think my arguments are smarter than yours in this case <g>. Your calls on market are smart- but that's another topic.

Don't bother & don't leave your genes at dangerous places...and back to the markets
