I didn't know AMD needed help to reach its shipment targets for the rest of the year. Perhaps AMD really is demand-limited, which wouldn't be a very good sign both for AMD and for INTC.

Tenchusatsu,

Actually Osha/ML's comments sound a little like a putdown. Sanders has implied that AMD can sell everything it can make. However the recent price cuts would seem to back up Osha's comments.

BTW how are you doing?

Ten,

I would think that $1000 CPUs are demand limited.

As I posted on Intel yesterday near the close, Niles says Intel is sold out for Q3, Q4 looks even stronger, albeit too early to be sold out, and next year could be even better for Intel. Either:

1. Niles is wrong, or

2. Intel is selling better than AMD, or

3. AMD wants to nail it and make sure they sell all they can make, ergo, price cuts, or

4. AMD isn't sure.

It's been a long time since my Boolean days, not sure that's minimized (or has all the possibilities).
