The ending of prohibition is a plank in the Libertarian Party platform, not something peculiar to Harry Brown. There is enough empirical evidence that shows that prohibition and the continued incarceration of those who violate drug statutes is wasteful, counterproductive, and more importantly anathema to the very concept of freedom and equal protection under the law.
