I agree that it is frustrating. I will be watching the sector very closely for basing action though. Trying to adopt the philosophy of buying out of favor sectors and holding for a bit longer periods of time....how many times have I said that??? LOL!!!

Personally, I appreciate the opportunity to get into some of these companies at lower prices.

I actually think the chip sector and software are similar. Everything moves in a herd. I'm not sure that the entire software sector is going to be out of favor this fall (although it is right now) - but if it is, then none of these stocks are going anywhere is my guess so I don't want to waste time unless I have a lt holding or something.

1998 was like that, sebl was executing and exceeding expectations but the stock did nothing while the internets exploded. Sebl didn't take off until b2b got hot. You could have wasted a whole year in that stock.

But the problem with chips and storage is when to get out.
