It's reading accounts like Lexar's CEO that makes me glad that Sandisk Management seems to have a cork shoved down their throat.

This guy could be keeping Lexar's Lawyers very busy for a long time.

I wonder what kind of advice this guy has been giving at LEXR:

Eric Whitaker, General Counsel & Secretary
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As General Counsel, Mr. Whitaker oversees Lexar¹s legal affairs. Prior to joining, he was an attorney with Latham & Watkins, where he specialized in intellectual property and antitrust litigation. He was a Fellow for the Coro Foundation, which provided intensive training in public policy and urban politics. He also served as a Legislative Assistant for US Senator Warren Rudman, where he was the primary contact on all legal and tax issues. Mr. Whitaker graduated cum laude from Princeton University with an A.B. in Politics and earned a J.D. from the Stanford School of Law, Stanford University.

The most not liked the advice this next guy gave. He has been moved over to print rooom.

Carlton Osborne, Vice President & General Manager, PrintRoom.com
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As Vice President and General Manager of Lexar¹s wholly-owned subsidiary, PrintRoom.com, Mr. Osborne oversees business strategies and development for this online photo-finishing venture. He was previously General Counsel and Director of Business Development at Lexar, where he has assisted with venture capital financings, technology licensing and strategic alliances. Prior to that he worked at Fenwick and West, where he counseled high-growth emerging technology companies in all stages of their growth cycle from start-up through venture financings to initial public offering. He received a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from the Stanford School of Law, Stanford University.

What kind of business ethics do they teach at Stanford Law School anyway?

Aus,
<<NOW I CAN BELIEVE THE COURT TESTIMONY THAT STATES THAT THIS GUY ADMITTED LEXAR MEDIA USING SANDISK TECHNOLOGY DURING THE LICENSING TALKS.>>
Me too. His comments were remarkable. It is just as remarkable to me that their stock went up today, and that Sandisk's stock didn't go to the moon. After all, if Lexar can "become a multibillion dollar company in the not too distant future", what can Sandisk become?

The ways of Mr. Market are ass-tonishing sometimes.

Glad your boy is well and at home.
Best wishes,
Sam

P.S. On a down note, there is a "super-typhoon" heading toward Taiwan as I write. I think landfall is due sometime today. Don't know which part will bear the brunt of it. Let's hope it is a not very populated part of the country.
