Solon,
excuse me for butting in
No need for apologizing for butting in - audience participation is what makes this thread what it is (for better, or worse).

I haven't been following this, uh, issue.
Ness Energy is an OTC:BB company that is drilling for oil in Israel. The CEO has used bible prophecy to predict that he is going to find a huge sea of oil if he drills to 30,000 feet under the Dead Sea. Some people (let's call them the bashers) have gone so far as to suggest that this is an affinity scam being perpetrated on Christians. The longs are told that this stock is only for those who have the "ears to hear" or the "eyes to see" (or something like that), and that they need to have faith.

I have been lurking on the thread for a while now, and I can't tell you for sure that it is satire.

My personal opinion is that the people on the NESS thread are going to learn two important lessons in the end, namely

1) That the love of money truly is the root of all evil,
2) That they must guard against greed since it can cloud your mind.

I would hate to see the full Christmas list!!
All I want for Christmas is DOW 50,000, LOL!
