I am new to this thread. But your comments on the US dollar and predictions of a big drop in same before long coincide with my own views.

Such a drop would be quite bullish for international equity funds -- many of which have seen their returns cut substantially by a soaring greenback. But the biggest beneficiary should be gold and gold stocks. In this respect I note that gold stocks are holding up very well as gold has been hit the last few days by a hard charging dollar. More than a straw in the wind methinks.
