.An exerpt, "Requires broad experience in a customer environment with knowledge of specific customer applications in WindowsNT and Unix-based operating systems. Must be proficient in assembly language. Requires effective communications and human relation skills. Experience w/ 4xAGP & RAMBUS architecture or other high-speed buses preferred."

Perhaps, but LDT is also similar to Rambus. Packet based, small width, ect.

tejek (anyone)... Why is AMD trying to hire people experienced with Rambus architecture? Do they intend to use Rambus technology? There could be no other reason!

Richard, Richard, Richard......

I am sorry but that ad is misleading. The truth is AMD is planning to do some lawsuits and they are hoping to snag some RMBS employees for obvious reasons. Now it would be kind of rude to advertise for some one with a suing background; hence the ad looking for someone with experience in RMBS architecture. AMD is expecting that most likely the applicants will be RMBS employees.

Clever, huh?

richard surckla, yep, it could mean that AMD is going to use Rambus. But it also could mean that they are looking for someone with experience working with high speed busses, of which Rambus is an example. Since people with DDR and LDT experience are likely to be rare, two things we know that AMD is working on, this is more likely. Let's face it, there is nothing that is so unique about Rambus that the experience cannot be applied somewhere else.
