Glenn,,,, Datek Streamer is Free.
I don't seem to have all of the technical bugs that everybody else complains about.
It occasionally needs to be restarted and reloaded because it's java but ,,,IT'S FREE :0)

ps. you can have about ~8(?) portfolios with 20 stocks each. So you could track 160 stocks if you want. (it's probably not the best if you're a super active daytrader but it works for my needs right now).

As someone mentioned Datek streamer, if your think that might be acceptable you should look at Medved Quote Tracker. It will use Datek's streamer servers as a source and is much more robust in doing so.

It also has all manner of nifties, like Island book and BigCharts charts, it's own real-time charting and capture of trade history, and more.

>>>What is currently the best system for streaming real time quotes at a reasonable rate?

Open an account with Datek. They have an excellent software called streamer. I dont think you need to fund it with too much money.

Glenn:

I would recommend that you check out Mytrack. I have been using their service for well over a year and have tested it against many of the others that have been mentioned and it is by far the best in my opinion. I currently pay slightly less than 45.00 per month and I receive 5 pages(100 total symbols)of real time streaming quotes with whatever other data I want to look at as well. (bid, ask, volume, etc.) It also has a built in charting function which is somewhat useful.

Their website can be found at www.mytrack.com. You simply go there and download their software, the whole thing is pretty simple if you have a higher speed line. You could be up and running today if you wanted. I would recommend that you download it and try it while you are still running Signal to see which you like better. I found that Mytrack was much faster than any of the other data services that I tested, but not sure if you get different results depending on where you are located in the country (?). They offer a free service of 20 minute delayed quotes just so you can see what it would be like before you sign up. You should check it out.

Glenn,

I've been using RT-Trader for a couple years. I think it is very good. Cost approx $45/month

Anyone have any thoughts on the Fed leaving rates alone?

Does this help nasdaq for the next few mos, or just prevent the market, which had already expected this, from dropping?

FWIW, I think Sep and Oct could be rough.
