" Wonder what they think of that statement now that ALi dumped RDRAM and went with DDR... On the Rambus website, you find of several press releases that are only mentioned by title: January 12, 1999 Acer Laboratories, Inc. Supports Rambus Memory to Advance Consumer PCs rambus.com Why wouldn't Rambus put the press release in full? Would there be something in that release that was a bit embarrassing? And one also has to wonder where those consumer RDRAM PC chipsets from ALi are. (G) That company doesn't have a record of the January 1999 press release on their website either (that I could find). Maybe both they and Rambus would like to forget the whole thing, as currently, ALi clearly dumped RDRAM and is now the leader in DDR:Acer Labs Showcases World’s First Complete DDR Core Logic Chipset Families at COMDEX Korea ali.com.tw ali.com.tw Ah, the miracle of SI, a quick search through the posts of Jan 12, 1999 finds this one from unclewest:Tuesday January 12, 9:01 am Eastern Time Company Press ReleaseAcer Laboratories Inc.
