Kash, I imagine you feel George W is the second coming. I don't think I have said anything about George W in any of my posts. I find him to be an honest (kind of) young man who knows what the major issues facing this country are and he is willing to use innovative approaches to solve them. Tax cuts for the rich. Come on. <g> This is the line to attract the votes of the morons. The Democratic speech writers wink at one another when they insert this line in the speeches. I always get a kick out of hearing an intelligent person say this seriously. Screw the environment. Screw the schools. Screw the disadvantaged. Screw up the economy. This is actually my list of concerns about a possible Gore presidency. The only thing I am not worried about if Gore became the president is the schools. He and his teacher union puppet masters have already screwed up the schools so badly that there is nothing worse that can possibly happen to them. Joe

OT I imagine you feel George W is the second coming. I can not speek for Joe, but I do not. For one thing I really doubt he is going to cut spending at all (he might slow its growth at best), or cut taxes any where near as much as I want him to. There are other areas of disagreement as well, but his positions are closer to mine then Gore's are. Tax cuts for the rich. The tax cuts are not just for the rich, they are for tax payers with all different levels of income. The rich will get a bigger dollar amount cut because they pay more. From reading the posts about your trades you must be far richer then me and will benifit more from any tax cut then I will, but that is fair because you pay more taxes. I will benefit as well but even if I did not in my specific situation I would support the tax cuts as a matter of principle. (Lower taxes means greater freedom because you are decideing how to spend your money rather then having the government decide for you). Screw the environment. Screw the schools. Screw the disadvantaged. Screw up the economy. We have allready had the enviroment debate here several times. I'll just say here that I disagree. Schools are a local and state responsibility not an area for the federal government to get overly involved in. I don't think Bush would slash spending for the disadvantged but even if he does it would not be screwing them. If I give you a $20 bill every day and you come to depend on that $20, but one day I stop I am not screwing you by stoping. Even if it hurts the disadvantaged cutting government programs that hand out money to them is not screwing them. In some cases cutting some programs can actually have a benefit if it pushes people to become self reliant instead of depending on the government hand out. As for screw the economy, I also disagree with you here. What is best for the economy of the US is to have the government effect it as little as possible. Tim
