someone commented today that Willy can go as high as 5 Ghz. Make sense to you?

Willy appears to have a couple of critical flaws affecting clock speed.

The first is the double speed ALU (which would have to run at 10GHz.) That would be cycle time of 100ps, which seems impossible using clocks as we know them.

The second problem is the 2-cycle L1 cache. This is not going to be very scalable.

I don't think Willy MHz will scale very well, and may lag AMD processors, because AMD is moving ahead in process technology.
