GB, re: "Listen to yourself. Bet is the right description for that kind of reasoning." Every time you buy or sell a stock you place a bet. Maybe you know what's going to happen in the future, I'm not that smart. I try to make an informed guess, so far I've done OK. John

Listen to yourself. Bet is the right description for that kind of reasoning. Gopher- As of today, that reasoning is holding up pretty well. You are of the school that the past has no relevance to the future. So be it, but most people use the past as at least a factor in trying to bring order to their lives, present and future. Your attitude is reflected in the fact that a lot of high schools no longer include history as part of their curriculum. I find that sad and foolish. Frank
