If Hornberger was unable to convince the party delegates that he was the man for the job, why in the world would you think he'd be more effective taking the message to the voting public? He received less than 10% of the delegates in the nomination vote. He wasn't even second, that was Don Gorman. It is pretty apparent that most in the party have rejected his divisive campaign of sour grape mudslinging against Mr. Brown.
