One of the miracles of the Internet is that any factually incorrect posting can be refuted with in minutes if it's so obvious. I would present the PAIR takeover fraud of 4/7/1999 as a prime example. The affect of such things on price are temporary at best, because in reality the poster with the truth on their side has much more power than a liar. Your statement is a truism, but does not address the accusation that there are folks posting in order to cause class action suits. In order for it to be true, one has to grant that the liar has more power than the poster of the truth. Regardless, Jeffrey has asked that this thread be used to post data wrt lawsuits against posters rather than as a discussion forum so this will be my last comment on the subject.

BTW, one need only look at the BXM chart to see that it's fall from 38 to today's 21 coincided with the top in the biotech sector of March. Are there any biotech names that haven't suffered a similar stock price fate? Was the whole sector brought down by the posting of false information on Internet chat threads? Ludicrous.
