Hi Tim, Leeza, and all,

Semtech showed great year-over-year growth, but 6% sequential revenue growth. I know this isn't bad, but ADI had 21% and Micrel had 13% sequential growth. I think Semtech has been in rally mode in sympathy with ADI and MCRL after their very positive results. Is this going to be viewed as a dissapointment and lead to a huge drop?

Thanks.

Wow, "Net sales for the second quarter of fiscal year 2001 were $60.6 million, an
increase of 59 percent over comparable prior year second quarter net sales of
$38.3 million. Net income for the second quarter of fiscal year 2001 was $13.7
million or $0.36 per diluted share, an increase of 121 percent over net income
of $6.2 million, or $0.18 per diluted share in the second quarter of last fiscal
year.

Sequentially, net sales for the second quarter of fiscal year 2001 increased 6
percent and net income grew 14 percent over the previous quarter. Gross margin
increased to a record 55.5 percent of net sales in the second quarter of fiscal
year 2001. This represents an increase of 114 basis points compared to the
previous quarter and an increase of 410 basis points as compared to the second
quarter of last year. The Company forecasts that it will reach its goal of 60
percent gross margin in the next four to five quarters.

For the first six months of fiscal year 2001, net sales were $118.1 million and
net income was $25.8 million or $0.68 per diluted share. The record results
represented an increase of 66 percent for net sales and 135 percent for net
income over the comparable prior year six-month period.

New orders received during the second quarter increased 16 percent over the
prior quarter, reflecting the strength of all major markets. Demand from
communications and industrial customers was particularly robust. Based on
backlog entering the quarter, Semtech expects to achieve double-digit sequential
revenue growth in the third quarter of fiscal year 2001."

Still long,
