SS OPUS @ any price above 4.

Complete POS. Job placement e-turd running hard on Bear's bogus $7 price analyst target. Pathetic revenues, fat losses, stagnant sector, technical double steel-reinforced wall @ $5, etc.

For the 3 months ended 06/30/2000, revenues were 2,301; after tax earnings were -20,016

Yahoo data of 7.7 mil shares in the float is False. There was an early lockup in July, 45% of the shares are unlocked, which equals 22.8 mil shares, and there will be another lockup release in October.

64.224.47.59

Looking for 3s real soon.

Shorted DSLN @ 6 1/2. Took a bowel-clearing ride to 7 1/8 and bailed at 6 5/16. It looks like its up on Brand New(tm) very old news (IBM deal), but I didn't have time to do my own research...or put my Depends on.

The press release doesn't mention how large (small?) the deal is, but it does mention "e-business" five times.
dsl.net

Also, they say they guarantee "access speeds up to 25 times faster than dial-up". That's fast, but, aren't you supposed to guarantee minimum access speeds? What kind of a business guarantees a maximum of anything? Even USWest (USWorst, now QWest) doesn't try that trick -- they guarantee a minimum of 256Kb/s.

Banner outside of a DSL.net-owned fast-food franchise: "There is no way in hell we would ever give you more than 10,000,000,000 pounds of beef in your in one-dollar hamburger. I mean, come on people. What do you want for one dollar anyway. Can you imagine a hamburger with 10,000,000,001 pounds of beef in it? Get real, folks. If you want a 10,000,000,001 pound hamburger, I suggest you try McDonald. They're right down the street."

It's going on a wild ride after hours. Very glad I covered. I feel sorry for anyone holding a position either way tonight. Crashed to almost 6 but now looking for 7 1/4. Correction: looking for 7 1/2. Correction: looking for 8.

Short DSLN @ 8 9/16. My first short. I've been reading, lurking, and learning. Time to get wet.
