One reason I can't stand Greenspan and what he has done.
My local Steel Plant (the one I worked at for years) closed its doors last week. They went out of business.
Over 2000 people out of work and that doesn't include the contracters and the amount is probably around 7000 people if you include those.
My home town has a population of about 50k people. That many jobs lost will really hurt my community.
I am lucky as I now trade for a living but for those at the plant who have been their all thier lives they are about to fall on some very hard times.

What Greenspan has done in my opinion is absolutley terrible. In my opinion there was never a need for any rate hikes and the last rate hike of 50 points was a slap in the face to the American working people. Now he gets credit for a soft landing. MY GAWD THAT IS STUPID.
Let me ask this question to anyone that wants to answer.
If the Fed had never raised rates.....where would we be right now?
Take some time and think about that.
