I had once looked into shorting CYAA, and dropped the idea when I saw their balance sheet. It looked too good.

After reading the Salt Lake City newspaper article you cited, I wonder if it is just too good to be true. Wolfson looks like he has a dirty paste that makes DR look positively clean by comparison. Wolfson has gotten into so much trouble with securities law that he is ineligible to be an officer of a public company.

CYAA is run by the nephew of Wolfson, so it seems unlikely that they will be able to remove Wolfson from their operations, as they say they will.

Back to the balance sheet, reading the newspaper article would lead one to question how valuable the assets are, and how much off-balance-sheet liability there is, such as debts to the Illinois Environmental agency.

Still, the market cap is way to small to short. I think I'll continue to leave it alone.
