Mark,
"next stop 58, or 85???"
Ya got me, though I don't think 85 will be a stop, at least not for long if it is. Typhoon season may keep us down for awhile, though the map that Aus pointed to indicates that this particular typhoon will probably not affect TSM or UMC. I'm guessing too that both of these companies have prepared their lines for some serious weather after the last near miss. They have too much at stake not to, and both are cash rich enough to make some serious weather ready investments.

I still think that we haven't seen the highs on this stock. But when new highs will come.... Zeev thinks that 110 or so may be the top for an election-inspired surge that will come over the next two months or so. He has made some impressive calls in the past. But I think published estimates on SNDK are way way too low. And I hope that Dr. H and Co will use 5-10 minutes the next CC to educate all of us about Sandisk's story, including how the coming added "flash manufacturing" capacity won't mean sharply lower margins for Sandisk products, as higher volumes and lower unit costs will balance lower AUPs, and in any case much of the added capacity won't be for the cards that Sandisk sells. I'm also supposing here that the $17m royalty guidance that they gave in the last CC was deliberately conservative.

So I'm not selling calls against my position, though we may find in Sept that it is the right thing to do for now.

Good luck whatever decision you make,
Sam
