This in from Kinetic, seems sound advice:
Alright the NASDAQ is in an expanding consolidation of sorts
which started last Thursday the 17th. The boundaries are about
3910 and 3990 right now. This doesn't mean anything but there's
a battle going on between buyers and sellers. At this point,
when we've got bearish divergences and a few trend breaks, it's
important to let price rule. If you're trading in and out, let
the market show you and don't get stomped if there is a big move.
