Ten, good point, I had a lot in my head and only wrote about half of it. While I do not think that Jerry is all awash in grief over the prospect of plinking at Intel, current production levels couldn't really do any different, I do think that they are aggressively trying to position their products and move the market to a significantly faster band of frequencies. Partly out of self-defense, unless Intel can ship air-cooled 2GHz P4s in the next 8 months or so, their delta in clockrate will not be large enough to show any benchmark advantage over the AMD products. Unless, that is, MPEG compression and crypto algorhythms become common in benchmarking suites.
