I doubt it's an issue of being out of touch as you try to pawn off on us. Certain groups tend to trend toward a certain political bent. Yet with about 84% percent of the media bent toward liberalism for decades as you say, is it not eye opening to you that the country remains almost equally split between liberalism and conservatism despite the sell-out by the 4th estate. Perhaps the wrong people are out of touch, but apparently you can't see the forest for the trees!

If the mainstream were sieg heiling Nazis... I would be out of touch with them.

If the mainstream were jack-booted Stalinists... I would be out of touch with them.

If the mainstream were sorry-assed apologists who were programmed to support socialist ideas and hardly had a clue as to what their inalienable rights were and so barter them away for a handful of beans... I would be out of touch with them. And guess what? I am... because they are!
