i'm all for shorting the weaklings of a sector. i must admit though that i'm not really up-to-date with regards to TXN's specific fundamentals. i'm looking at the semi sector only in a big picture context, and i remain convinced that the cycle peak is actually in, in spite of the hype that has lately been gushing forth. the semis are skating on the slippery slope of hope imo...so yes, technically i think it may be a good shorting candidate. just be careful if you go ahead to use tight stops....you never know when the funds decide to organize a little squeeze. and WS is also constantly hyping the group, so one has to tread carefully.
