Modern media (CNN et al) prevents tyranny in many places now. Too easy for the rest of the world to see. That said, I still wouldn't want to be a gringo arrested in Mexico City. You'd never be heard from again.

They are striking in Nicaragua (sp?) at the textile mills also. I believe they make mostly blue jeans there.

It appears 3rd world people are waking up to their crappy lifestyles and want a piece of the good ol' US buck.
