not to preempt stew...but just commenting that i believe henry said in one call that he would license the tech to anyone.

also, i believe the number was 500,000 although i do not think that happens right away....i am still hearing noises about parts shortages.

This news release has some pictures:

Gemstar doesn't manufacture electronic devices, just licenses the technology. As far as the CE OEMs this business will go the same route as VCR Plus+, V-Chip Plus+ and Guide Plus+ with the recurring revenue stream of the latter.

It's not clear in the pictures but I think the 'Gemstar eBook' logo appears on the RCA models. That's about all I know ... except that I will have one as soon as available.
