JF3, I would think that 5million shares should have resulted in a big pop in Cisco. If you look at the chart for today, you will see a big spike in volume around 3 pm as the stock moved back up. In the end it ended with a selloff. I wonder if most of it was due to the general market sell off.

My reason for it being bullish is that when the puts were bought, Cisco tanked from mid 60s to the high 59s upon people learning of this trade (or specialists shorting Cisco as they went short on the puts--ie selling puts to that big buyer). That is why I expected a bullish response in the stock and maybe we will start getting it soon.
Couple that with the employee selling window closing and we could get a big bounce. I am very optimistic as both of these factors will now take the uncertainty out of this stock. (maybe that is why it is edging up afterhours)

BTW--I had erroneously thought for a long time that it was the August options but it turned out to September.
