Contrary to my normal sarcasm, I was being serious when I suggested 1.5GHz at the end of the year. They are at 1.2GHz now, and 0.13u is under development.

The key to the plan is timing. AMD needs to get the systems to reviewers so and make a concurrent official launch. That way, no story about the Pentium 4 will be written with mentioning the AMD makes a faster chip.
