Dave, I trade with Interactive Brokers (http://www.interactivebrokers.com). They're a direct access broker which until some time ago only catered to institutional customers but has extended some of their offerings to retail customers. To retail accounts they offer futures (S&P and NDX E-Mini, DAX, FTSE, CAC40, Hang Seng, SMI), US Stocks, and equity and index options. From what I hear access to foreign equity exchanges for retail accounts is in the works. Commissions are $0.01 per share for stocks ($1 minimum) and $1.95 for options. They offer access to all US options exchanges including the new ISE and provide a Best Execution order routing technology which is great for taking advantage of arbitrage opportunities presented by crossed markets across the options exchanges.
