Hello Dave;

In case you were not watching WSTL's trading activity on level II, Jeffries of all companies along with Frost among a few others were hitting the ask for a good portion of shares. Tight trading range in my mind equates accumulation. Now lets see to what effect it will have. EFNT had a good day today on some rather good news indicating that DSL is growing continually. One could only hope that analyst Joseph Bellace at Jeffries comes out soon and changes his rating which caused a thrashing particularly for EFNT & WSTL. Remember these were his words paraphrased:

"a potential strike at Verizon could negatively impact customer premises equipment (CPE) modem shipments. Bellace thinks Westell is the primary supplier to Verizon. He also cut his rating on Efficient Networks to a "hold" from a "buy," as the company is the secondary supplier to Verizon."

We scraped a couple days longer last time in the 13 to 15 area.
I honestly had hoped for worse in todays selloff amidst a solid market backdrop, but it was not bad enough (like when it dropped from 15 to 13 in two days). It may not capitulate like that, but it is poised to go higher at least a little. But why get too excited, nobody thinks DSL is busting out this qtr. Given theSBC transition, VZ strike, blah-blah-blah.

However I heard an interesting comment from a "connected" friend
, DT. A 5+ million cash payment just received from SBC.

Why would SBC pay 5mill for no orders?

They wouldn't, they didn't,
Orders are flowing and they should ramp in the final month as SBC prepares for the next qtr customer installation cycle. I am sure you read the SBC report about being "about" half way (440K) to 1m goal.

That is great news since they need to get to 1m of INSTALLATIONs, and they need the modems well on hand to accommodate that. So if they must install 560K in the next 19 weeks.
They need that kinda rate of delivery Pronto.

5m sounds just about right. But the buying is up to you, I have already done so and save my remaining ammunition for the up cycle.

Meantime, I like my other picks I mentioned to you before.
