Good stuff (http://developer.intel.com/technology/memory/rdram/). The following is one of the major reasons why RDRAM will prevail:

"The quickest and easiest method for developing RIMM Modules is by using the RIMM Module Designs. These design packages include downloadable files that contain all the engineering data to start RIMM production."

INTC seems to agree: developer.intel.com

Why design your own (you'd have to hire guys like Scumbria and Bilow -- what a management nightmare!!) <G> when you can get design support direct from RMBS as part of the package?? Come to think of it, I bet that this is why Scumbria had so much trouble with his RDRAM project -- I bet he sent them packing with a "I can design my own, thank you."

Change is difficult to accept; requires swallowing ones pride a little bit.
