THe ratio is the bullish money out of the pool of all the money in the bull and bear switching funds and cash in money market

nova + otc (bull funds)

nova+ursa+arktos+otc+money market

there is also bullish money in sector funds, but thats xtra work for me to track and it does not switch as rapidly as the bull and bear funds and i think adding that in would not change the indicator.

You could look at it like a sentiment survey, when the ratio is at 74% that means there are 74% bulls.
