New supply worries me too, but I think the public has become a little wiser regarding these scams...hence lower prices for dot coms and lots of IPOs getting delayed if not cancelled. Lower prices mean less money being sucked from the market when insiders sell. Tax loss selling should mean dot-com prices going still lower.

It is true that a lot of money was lost on the dot coms, but a lot more was made on the semis and the optics. Overall the NAS is still up, way up, from this time last year. I don't think the profits of the last few years in tech will soon be forgotten when winter comes and people once again turn their attention to investing.

I believe the fed funds rates are a factor in money supply, but not the only one.
