Tunica I did not have a chance to review fillings myself but from Insurance World as of 17 Aug'00 it seems that while there are some timing issues that may cause some problems all in all the condition of cnc is not that bad. I was impressed that cnc is not loosing their inforce and in spite of the recent events the core is turning in nice profits. While operational profits were not enough to offset the charges the profits are recurring while the charges are not. the research also noted that while things may not look that bad it would take a while (upto 2 years) before conseco may regain investment grade rating. While conseco may recover sooner because of the rating process it still might take a while. Regards -Albert
