Hi Mike. Of course, that was George Hawley who hailed at Bell Labs for a long time, I believe, and then at Bellcore, and was known in carrier loop technology circles as Dr. Loop. He founded a dsl company called Diamond Lane, which was later bought out by Nokia. I could be mistaken, but I think that they were taken out prior to their planned IPO. Maybe someone else could confirm that part.

There were some interesting exchanges concerning the use of dsl's in high rise office buildings that he indulged me in at the time.
