WAY OT: I heard something amazing last night. Before the mid 1700's man thought that the blood in the body oscillated back and forth instead of in a loop.

Could be interesting to see a list of all the things man "knew" a few hundred years ago, like

witches
Never fly
moon made of cheese
etc.

What pathetically arrogant creatures we are.

edward, Temperatures are rising and CO2 content has increased in the atmosphere over the last two centuries. Linked to industrial development? Possibly; but ice cores from the South Pole seem to indicate that temperatures and CO2 content of the atmosphere has varied previously in the last 1000 years.

So I don't say "no" to global warming..But I need to see a stronger link between these cycles and mankind before I link it to industrial development...

Now I worked in both a Democratic Administration and for the energy industry so I saw both sides of the debate...Above conclusion is my own of course....
