Ish, I figured out the baling thing. The weight and so forth.

The farmer was an idiot! He was making massive bales that were beyond human scale. 40 lbs sounds about the max you would want to make somebody handle. ~80 is plain redickless.
I was too ignant at the time to even think about ?ing.

Plus, he had small kids which made it even stupider, more stupid, I mean. See, kids will tend to go off and play and a hay barn is a logical place to spend time. Now a little avalanche of 40# bales on a 6 year old isn't likely to break a neck or trap anybody in most cases. But an 80#er falling from just a few feet can do some damage.
